Preparing for a big trip involves a few essential details, and we’re here to make that process as straightforward as possible. Below, you will find a curated list of trusted resources to help you manage your passport, secure travel insurance, apply for necessary entry authorizations, and register for travel safety programs. We highly recommend reviewing these links well in advance of your departure to ensure you have everything in order for a seamless journey.

Passports

Apply for a New U.S. Passport. Whether it is your first time traveling internationally or your previous passport expired more than 15 years ago, use this official U.S. Department of State resource to find out what forms you need, required documents, and where to apply in person.

Renew Your U.S. Passport Online. If you already have a passport and simply need to renew it, you can check your eligibility and submit your renewal application online safely and securely.

International Entry Authorizations

Apply for the UK Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA). The UK ETA is a mandatory digital travel permit for non-visa nationals visiting the United Kingdom. We recommend downloading the official app or applying via the UK Government website well in advance of your flight.

ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorisation System). Starting in late 2026, visa-exempt travelers visiting 30 European countries will need an ETIAS travel authorization. Bookmark this official European Union site for future updates and to submit your application once the system officially launches.

Airport Security & Customs Processing

Global Entry & TSA PreCheck Applications Breeze through airport security and customs by joining a Trusted Traveler Program. TSA PreCheck provides expedited domestic security screening, while Global Entry provides expedited U.S. customs screening for international travel (and automatically includes TSA PreCheck benefits). Use the official Department of Homeland Security portal to compare programs and apply.

Health & Safety

Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) STEP is a free, highly recommended service from the U.S. Department of State that allows U.S. citizens traveling abroad to log their trip with the nearest U.S. Embassy or Consulate. Enrolling ensures you receive the latest safety updates for your destination and helps the embassy contact you in the event of an emergency.
